I was concerned that this post might not quite hit the mark. Here's what I was going for. Chairman Butler punished Daniel for not keeping Addison in line by replaying his (Daniel's) most painful memory over and over. Whenever Daniel closes his eyes, he remembers being the little boy who was molested by a priest. Eek. To make matters worse, Daniel has no idea how long the punishment will last. Honestly, I don't enjoy thinking up stuff like this, and I'm not going to go into detail with that horrible memory. What you read above is enough. I wanted to show why Daniel is a rat bastard. He learned early on that people aren't to be trusted. In his own warped way, his amoral, manipulative behavior is how he protects himself. Thanks for commenting!
