I always feel for women who have long labours, poor Addison. My 2 boys were 45 & 30 mins respectively from waters breaking (and contractions going from freaking sore to unbearable) to birth, screw having hours of that!

Inflicting pain might take conscious effort; while telepaths are constantly open to the minds of others, and can passively see what's going on, effected it might require effort on their own part, which she is far too concerned with her own pain and inflicting it on Shane to bother with.
