I often feel they could use a few whacks from the cluebat myself. Also, I feel like they should listen to their kids more often — Ashlynn, after all, has more clue what’s happened than anyone else!

Speaking of which, I was really sickened by the way Daniel shamelessly lied to Ashlynn about that — the unmitigated evil! I liked when Shane referred to Jake and Ashlynn as “our kids”, and I can’t wait for Ashlynn to slip up and call Shane “daddy” too .

I wonder what would have happened if Shane hadn’t mnaged to reign in his libido and resist the urge to take her right in the middle of the ballroom, and if Addison hadn’t been able to resist either…

I think the phrase you’re going for is “I wouldn’t put it past Daniel to scoff…”

I like Ingrid, too. I have half a mind to write a bonus story about her.

Teague wasn’t in this post due to writer laziness. He was a minor character in the first draft, so he didn’t make an appearance at the party. I’ve written him into the next post.

Well even after a few years they can’t help but want to ravish the other. Ingrid is a very helpful lady at keeping Shane from being all sulky.

Any bets on Addison getting trashed and making a big seen?

You’re probably right. Addison does seem to go along with Daniel because he is her boss. But if she truly didn’t want to go with him she could have told him no. After all, she refused to move in with him after things exploded with Shane. She probably just didn’t refuse when Daniel told her he wanted her as his date.

Though now that you mention Teague, I wonder if he -is- at the party. That could be interesting. Is Teague attached to Addison at all or is he just along for the ride? Hmmm.

I have a feeling that Daniel chose Addison more than Addison chose Daniel, especially given this statement: “Either the champagne had gone to her head or she was desperate to avoid Myers, because Daniel suddenly looked very, very good.”

But I also wonder if Teague is there, and accompanies him, if he notices the glances Addison and Myers exchange, and what he thinks of the whole charade…

This might still turn into an interesting party, if there is a confrontation between Daniel/Addison and Shane/Ingrid. It’s not past Daniel to scoff at Shane (is that the correct expression?); after all, he knows Myers has a soft spot for Addison (and vice-versa)…

There are some days when their back and forth amuses me to no end. And then there are days where I just want to take them both and smack them up side the head. Perhaps I’ve been watching too many violent movies.

It’s too bad Ingrid isn’t a regular. I like her.

But where the heck is Teague? Why didn’t Addison go with him? And why didn’t that occur to me in the last post? Haha.
