Hard to say if they to precocious, we have only seen them for one chapter at this age. But boys around that age do act out quite a bit.

And both Ashlynn and Jake act older then they are, being metahuman will cause that. By the flipside though, they expect more things to go there way as well.

Honestly I’m not sure. Like I said, Jake sounds like he’s 17. But as I don’t know any 12 year old boys, I really couldn’t tell you if they sound like that as well. I’m going with the assumption that he’s more mature because of his advanced intellect and abilities.
