Uhopping: Invasion of the Baby Snatcher

    How the heck is this Uhopping thing going to work?

    Unless someone wants to create a new LJ community, the SLB LJ comm will be the central hub for Uhopping as it develops.

    Heidi will kick things off with her bad guy post. It'll debut on her blog. I'll copy and paste to the SLB LJ comm and link to her post.

    For each author in the Uhopping schedule (see below), I'll create a new LJ post. The author will write the start of their bit of the story and post on their site. I'll copy to the corresponding LJ post. Story posts are due by noon EST on the Monday of the week you sign up for. It'll run for one week. Then the action jumps to the next universe along with the baby snatcher.

    If the author wants to interact with the bad guy or characters from other universes, they'll do so via comments in the LJ post.

    This is just to get us started. If a particular week doesn't work for you (except for Heidi!), swap with someone else.

    Right-o. I'll have it up by the 4th! Now am I entering someone's world with the first post? Or just laying out the plans with my bad guy so that people know what to expect when it's their turn to write? As I haven't had the chance to read everyone's world, I'll need some time to catch up if it's the former.

    The intro post I'm planning for now will intro the bad guy and give people an idea of what he's planning with a few hints, nothing fully revealed, of course.

    To be honest, I hadn't thought it out that far. :) Your second proposal ("laying out the plans with my bad guy so that people know what to expect when it's their turn to write") makes sense. That's pretty much the intro post you're planning, right?

    Yup, that was the idea. I just wasn't sure if that would fly. I'm afraid I need directions or I get all turned around and confused and then I get grumpy because I feel foolish. So I shall run with that. Thank ya. :)

    Looks like I'll have everything squared away for the first post. I'll have that up at The Deep Underground site on the night of the 3rd.

    Unfortunately I cannot respond to LJ comments during the day, as LJ is blocked from work. But I'll catch up as best I can during the evening of the week. I shall create an LJ for The Deep as well.
