So this might be random but Triptych is a real word! Maybe this doesn't surprise our authors, but I had assumed it was well a neat sounding made up Evil Corporation name!
But as was reading a food blog. (i'm so addicted to these)and they used it in a sentence! so I googled it... and it references the tri-folded paneled art work that is hinged.... or better explained here

Yay! I was wondering if anyone picked up on that. I'd learned the word "triptych" in a medieval studies class. Remembered it when pondering names for the evil corporation. I love coming up with names and titles with symbolism and hidden meaning. :)
The "three" motif repeats in SLB. There are three chairmen, and the Triptych logo has three triangles.
Neat! It sounds as if you put a lot more thought into that than I did with mine - which I reverse-engineered meaning into after the fact :-)
